This business started years ago for a practical reason:
Side income while raising seven kids after leaving an 11-year career at the IRS.
What began as small bookkeeping support for local businesses grew into a thriving advisory practice grounded in expertise, honesty, and service.

I genuinely enjoy the work.

Today, after 35+ years in tax and accounting, the passion remains the same:

I’m Karen Nelson, and for more than 35 years I’ve been committed to helping individuals and business owners create clarity, reduce financial stress, and build confidence in their tax and financial decisions.

Meet Darcie Harris
I genuinely enjoy helping business owners feel confident and in control of their finances. I work with a variety of companies across different industries, providing bookkeeping, financial tracking, and day-to-day administrative support. No two businesses are the same, which keeps the work interesting and rewarding.
What I do best is taking overwhelming financial tasks and turning them into organized, easy-to- understand systems. I like helping with the books so the business owner can focus on running their business.
My boss, Karen, often tells me that I’m a bit of a “mind reader” because I naturally seem to know what will make things better, easier, and more understandable for our clients. She’s shared that I bring patience and calm into the stormy, overwhelming world of a business owner who’s buried in tasks and confusing to-dos. I take a lot of pride in being intuitive about what’s needed and helping create improvements that better serve our clients.
I truly love bookkeeping, and I’ve learned so much from Karen. I’ve really enjoyed working with her and appreciate how much she’s helped me grow.
